Norwegian Sweep in the 20km Mass Start

In a remarkable event at the World Cup in Ruka, Norway showed complete dominance in the men’s 20 km freestyle mass start today. Harald Østberg Amundsen led the charge, securing the gold medal with Jan Thomas Jenssen and Martin Löwström Nyenget following close behind, taking silver and bronze respectively.

After struggling with exhaustion, Swedish skier Jens Burman, who managed to stay in the lead pack at the beginning, ultimately finished in a disappointing 43rd place due to equipment issues. "Starting with a broken pole made the race really tough for me," Burman said.

William Poromaa was the top-performing Swedish skier, finishing in 15th place, nearly half a minute behind the winner. Despite a strong start, he battled hard to keep pace but felt the strain as the race progressed.

This race not only highlighted Norway's strength in men’s cross-country skiing but also showed the challenges faced by their competitors. With this, it sets a high expectation for the upcoming races as fans eagerly wait to see if other teams can break Norwegian dominance in the future.
