Norwegian ski racer Astrid Öyre Slind pulled off a remarkable upset in the 20-kilometer classic style event at the World Cup held in Davos. The 36-year-old secured her first-ever World Cup victory, having trailed the favored Therese Johaug for much of the race. Slind demonstrated a powerful finish, crossing the line ten seconds ahead of Finnish skier Kerttu Niskanen, who finished second. Notably, Johaug, once considered the frontrunner, ended the race in third place, 13.5 seconds behind Slind. Only two Swedish racers participated in this event: Sofia Henriksson and Moa Ilar, both notably finishing far from the lead.
