Norwegian Double Victory - Despite Manpower Shortage
Several Norwegian cross-country skiing stars were absent from the World Cup race, the 10 kilometers freestyle, as it coincided with national championships in Norway. Despite these absences, Norway achieved a double victory in the event held in Les Rousses, France.
Iver Tildheim Andersen claimed the top spot on the podium, while his compatriot Pål Golberg took the second place. The best Swedish performance came from William Poromaa, who finished fifth, 25 seconds behind Andersen. This outcome highlighted the strong Norwegian presence in the race despite the missing competitors.
Overall, it was a significant achievement for the Norwegian team, reaffirming their dominance in the sport even in challenging circumstances.
