Norway without Johannes Hösflot Klæbo and Therese Johaug at the weekend World Cup
The Cross-Country Skiing World Cup resumes this weekend in Les Rousses, France, following the Tour de Ski.
A key feature of this weekend's competitions includes the 10km time trial, classic sprints, and the 20km traditional mass start.
Norway, a dominant force in Cross-Country skiing, will be competing without its leading stars, Johannes Hösflot Klæbo and Therese Johaug. Their absence is a significant loss as they have chosen to skip the World Cup to compete in the Norwegian Championships, which fall on the same dates. Klæbo has not participated in Norwegian championships either, as he is still recovering from the strenuous Tour de Ski.
"Johannes has not yet returned to normal training after the Tour," said Norways's national team doctor, Ove Feragen.
