Norway Excludes Competitor Before Tour de Ski – Still Strong Lineup Present

Norway's cross-country skiing team has had to make last-minute changes ahead of the Tour de Ski, which begins this Saturday with a free technique sprint in Toblach, Italy. Matz William Jenssen, a promising sprinter, has fallen ill, prompting the Norwegian Ski Federation to call up Håvard Moseby as his replacement.
Jenssen had recently showcased solid performances, finishing fourth and fifth in previous World Cup sprints this season. Moseby, who made only one appearance in this World Cup season, placing 14th in a Nordic combined event in Lillehammer, will now lead the charge alongside sprint specialist Even Northug.
The Norwegian team continues to boast star power with female athletes like Therese Johaug, Heidi Weng, and Astrid Øyre Slind, as well as the entire top five from the World Cup overall standings in the male category: Harald Østberg Amundsen, Johannes Høsflot Klæbo, Martin Löwström Nyenget, Simen Hegstad Krüger, and Erik Valnes.
