New Swedish Withdrawal from Davos Competition
Swedish cross-country sprinter Maja Dahlqvist is still recovering from a cold that kept her out of competition in Lillehammer and is also not competing in Davos this weekend.
- She is symptom-free, but is not prepared to compete in the World Cup events this weekend, according to a statement from the Swedish Ski Federation.
Dahlqvist finished third in the sprint when the World Cup opened in Ruka two weeks ago.
The list of Swedish withdrawals for Davos is lengthy and includes names such as Frida Karlsson, Ebba Andersson, Calle Halfvarsson, Linn Svahn, Moa Lundgren, and Måns Skoglund.
Norwegian Heidi Weng is also absent from Davos as she is prioritizing training ahead of the Tour de Ski.
