'This is a breakthrough of unprecedented significance.' This is what the head of the Swedish national ski team, Anders Byström, said after Edvin Anger's second place in the pursuit race at the Tour de Ski.
-
'We are almost left speechless. This is a classic of a breakthrough of unprecedented significance, and the way it happens as well,' Byström told Radiosporten, explaining more about what might have influenced his confidence.
-
Anger started in 14th place and caught up to and overtook Norwegian star Johannes Høsflot Klæbo.
