Mogren on Sundling's choice: "Chance to win the World Cup is gone"

Jonna Sundling is squandering a great chance to win the overall World Cup by choosing to skip the Tour de Ski, according to Torgny Mogren, Sveriges Radio’s skiing expert.

A female Swedish skier has never won the overall World Cup in cross-country skiing, but following her victory in Saturday’s sprint, Jonna Sundling was well-positioned in the overall standings, just a few points behind leading athlete Diggins.

"If she had participated in the Tour, she would have been a contender for winning the overall World Cup," says Torgny Mogren.
