Moa Lundgren is currently navigating the challenges of recovery after sustaining a concussion five weeks ago during her training for the World Championships set to take place in Trondheim. Despite these setbacks, Lundgren maintains a resolute and positive outlook as she works towards regaining her peak fitness for the competition.

"I am a compulsive optimist," Lundgren shared with SVT Sport, reflecting her hopeful mindset. Having opted out of the national team, she is now training independently, with her sights set on achieving optimal condition for the upcoming season opener in Bruksvallarna, which is just two months away.

Almost daily, she trains alongside her boyfriend, Gustav Kvarnbrink, who plays a crucial role in supporting her recovery. Lundgren envisions a dream scenario where both of them qualify for the World Championships together.

As part of her preparation for moving to Sundsvall, Lundgren sought guidance from former skier Charlotte Kalla. Kalla's insights greatly influenced her decision to make the move to the city.

Despite facing ongoing challenges from her concussion, Lundgren has reported positive advancements in her training. She is now able to drive and endure longer training sessions, though some daily tasks continue to be difficult. Her regimen includes running and roller skiing, both of which have shown promising progress.

In addition to her focus on the World Championships, Lundgren has joined Team Ragde Charge for competing in Ski Classics. She also took a moment to congratulate her teammate Stina Nilsson on a commendable performance in a recent 90 km roller ski event.

With the upcoming season on the horizon, Moa Lundgren carries great potential and her resilience shines brightly as she prepares for what lies ahead in her skiing journey.
