Moa Ilar, talking about her experiences during the recent World Cup race in Davos, shared that the 20 kilometers course was particularly grueling. Many competitors, including Ilar, found it so demanding that they chose to walk up certain steep sections instead of skiing. "It feels so silly," she remarked, reflecting on the situation.
Ilar, managing to finish as the best Swedish skier in 18th place, commented on how noticeable the difficulty of the course was based on the intense running times and the distances between skiers. \"It was incredibly tough; you could really see it in the skiing times. The long stretches created a significant gap between us skiers,\" she explained.
In this race, Astrid Øyre Slind from Norway claimed her first World Cup victory, followed by Kerttu Niskanen and Therese Johaug in second and third place respectively. See the unusual images and hear more from Moa Ilar in the player above.
