Many ski centers in Finland are opening later than last year due to temperature changes and insufficient snow. In southern regions like Jämsä and Tahko, the opening dates for ski resorts are still uncertain. Vuokatti and Iso-Syöte plan to open about two weeks later than last year. The weather dictates when the slopes can be opened.

In northern Lapland and Koillismaa, significant snowfall allowed for early openings in places like Ruka, Levi, Pyhä and Ounasvaara.

As of late November, resorts like Vuokatti are preparing for their openings in early December. Iso-Syöte plans to open its first slopes soon, while also working on trail preparations.

Artificial snow has already covered many trails nationwide, although natural snow trails may take longer to open.
