Maja Dahlqvist has announced her withdrawal from the Tour de Ski after developing cold symptoms. She expressed her frustration via social media, stating, "It was fun while it lasted, but it just doesn't want to work out for me in 2024. See you next year."

Her participation went poorly as well; during the opening sprint, she broke her pole in the finals and was unable to compete effectively. In the second stage, she fell significantly behind and admitted that nothing felt right during her performance.

This marks another setback for the Swedish star, who has faced illness earlier this season, missing several World Cup events and having to recover with antibiotics following the season opener. Now, she will not be part of the 20-kilometer race happening later today, leaving only five Swedish women to compete in the event.
