World Cup: Lucas Chanavat and Julie Pierrel withdraw from the Tour de Ski
Lucas Chanavat and Julie Pierrel, both members of the French cross-country skiing team, have declared that they will not continue in the Tour de Ski due to illness. This news comes as a setback for the French team, which recently saw Hugo Lapalus finish just off the podium in the 15 km pursuit race in Toblach, Italy.
Chanavat, who finished second in the sprint during the first stage of the competition, and Pierrel were joined by Flora Dolci and Sabin Coupat, who also exited the Tour due to health issues.
Following several competitions in Toblach, the Tour de Ski continues with stops in Val di Fiemme, Italy, including a sprint and two distance events scheduled from January 3 to 5, 2025.
