Lotta Udnes Weng has withdrawn from the Tour de Ski due to health issues, specifically waking up with a sore throat on Saturday. This news was confirmed by the Norwegian Ski Federation. Weng's withdrawal comes just a day after her sixth-place finish in the sprint event. With the tough 20-kilometer race scheduled for Saturday, Udnes Weng will be heading home instead.
The Tour de Ski event still has two more stages left. Following the Tour, the focus will shift to the Norwegian Championships in Hamar later this month, with the World Championships anticipated at the end of February.
