Linn Svahn, a 25-year-old cross-country skier, returned to international competition after a long absence since the Tour de Ski on January 5. Competing in the classic sprint race at the World Cup in Falun, Svahn showcased her superior form by claiming victory in a dominant fashion.

In the race, she finished first, with Nadine Fähndrich nearly a second behind as she took second place, and Kristine Stavås Skistad closing the podium in third. On the women’s side, the event was marked by another notable performance as Maja Dahlqvist, despite breaking a pole in the quarterfinal, managed to advance to the final where she finished fourth, while Johanna Hagström ended up in last place in that final.

On the men’s side, Edvin Anger did not progress to the final after placing fifth in his semifinal, which paved the way for an all-Norwegian podium. Johannes Hösflot Kläbø emerged as the winner in the men’s event. This comeback victory for Svahn clearly signals her return to top form and positions her as one to watch in future World Cup events.
