In a thrilling showcase of speed and skill, Lauri Lepistö and Krista Pärmäkoski emerged victorious at the Finnish roller skiing championships held in Vuokatti. Lepistö clinched the men's 10-kilometer race, crossing the finish line just three seconds ahead of Juuso Haarala and a impressive twenty seconds faster than Niko Anttola. The race saw fierce competition, with other notable finishers in the top six including Niko Husu, Arsi Ruuskanen, and Miro Karppanen.

Meanwhile, on the women's side, Krista Pärmäkoski dominated the 10-kilometer event, securing her victory by defeating Johanna Matintalo and Jasmin Kähärä with times that were 31 seconds and 45 seconds respectively faster. Kerttu Niskanen finished fourth, trailing the leader by 48 seconds, while Jasmi Joensuu followed closely behind in fifth, finishing one minute and seven seconds off Pärmäkoski's time. Rounding out the top ten were Eveliina Piippo and Katri Lylynperä, finishing in eighth and tenth places respectively.

The championships took place over the weekend from September 6 to 8, 2024, and featured some of the finest roller skiing competitors in Finland, setting a thrilling stage for the upcoming winter season.
