Klæbo Enters New Agreement
Johannes Høsflot Klæbo has entered into a partnership with the Finnish ski waxing company Vauhti. This was revealed during a press conference held in the media center in Ruka, Finland, on Thursday. The announcement coincided with the day before the start of the cross-country skiing World Cup season.
As the company's CEO Martti Uusitalo noted, when discussions began over the summer, he never expected they would lead to a formal agreement. Klæbo has been dubbed the "Speed King of Vauhti," and the company announced that they have started working on something they believe will be fantastic.
The World Cup for cross-country skiers begins with a 10-kilometer classic style race on Friday, followed by a sprint on Saturday and a 20-kilometer mass start on Sunday in Ruka. Klæbo started the season strong, securing two victories at Beitostølen last weekend.
