Johannes Høsflot Klæbo secured a convincing victory in the sprint event at Engadin. This was his first World Cup race following his triumph in the Tour de Ski earlier this month. Klæbo continues his dominance in the sprint category, having now won six of seven competitions this season. Meanwhile, fellow competitors had their final opportunity to qualify for the World Championships in Granåsen next month, with two spots available after this weekend's events in Switzerland. Other former champions, including Even Northug, did not qualify past the preliminary rounds.

With Klæbo's impressive performance, he solidified his strong standing while other contenders like Håvard Solås Taugbøl also marked their chances for qualifying. Overall, the Engadin sprint showcased the skill and competitiveness of Nordic skiing as athletes prepare for World Championship challenges to come.
