During Friday's classic sprint in the Tour de Ski, Johannes Høsflot Klæbo demonstrated a commanding lead, securing a victory that marked his 90th World Cup win. Klæbo finished with a substantial margin as he approached the finish line, leaving the competition far behind.

"It's fantastic. The course is challenging, especially with a long uphill before the finish, but I'm very satisfied. We had incredibly good skis today," Klæbo said.

Even Northug claimed second place, while Sweden's Marcus Grate delivered a surprising performance with a third-place finish.

Klæbo's victory further solidifies his lead in the overall standings of the Tour de Ski. Prior to the sprint, Edvin Anger was in second place overall but suffered a setback when he broke his pole in the quarter-finals. Despite the frustration evident in the finish area, Anger remains in second place in the overall ranking, but now trails Klæbo by a considerable 1 minute and 35 seconds.

Looking ahead, the next competition is the skiathlon, followed by the concluding event at the monstrous hill over the weekend.
