Norwegian cross-country skier Johannes Høsflot Klæbo (28) has been cleared to compete in the upcoming World Cup weekend in Falun. After missing the races in Cogne and a subsequent break due to illness during his stay in Davos, Klæbo has returned to Norway and resumed training. He is one of several Team Norway athletes selected for the races at Lugnet Stadium in Falun, where the Norwegian squad also includes Therese Johaug (36), who is making her return to the World Cup after last competing during the national championships at Gåsbu in mid-January.

The Falun races are the final World Cup events before the World Championships scheduled in Trondheim from 26 February to 9 March. In Falun, the Norwegian team will contest across several events including sprint classics, a 10 km classical race, and a 20 km mass start in free technique. The sprint classic and 10 km classical races are also part of the program for the upcoming World Championships in Trondheim.

Team selections include names such as Kristine Stavås Skistad, Julie Myhre, Mathilde Myhrvold, and several others for the sprint, while Johaug, along with teammates such as Heidi Weng and Astrid Øyre Slind, will feature in the longer distance events. Meanwhile, Klæbo is confirmed in multiple events, highlighting his key role for the Norwegian squad as they head into the critical pre-championship phase of the season.
