Anne Kjersti Kalvå, a 32-year-old Norwegian skier, has announced that she will not be participating in the upcoming World Cup race due to health issues. She woke up feeling unwell with a sore throat, which leads to her withdrawal from the 10-kilometer race scheduled at Lillehammer. This event was supposed to mark her debut for the season in the World Cup circuit.

Kalvå had a challenging start to the season at Beitostølen two weeks ago, and therefore did not compete in Ruka, Finland, either. Despite her current setbacks, she has been selected to participate in the 20-kilometer race on Sunday, where she will have the chance to make a comeback. In her absence, Berit Mogstad will take her place in today's race, providing an opportunity for another athlete to shine on the World Cup stage.
