Jules Lapierre Clinches 3rd Place in Goms 20 km Race

Jules Lapierre celebrated his third career podium finish on Sunday, taking third place in the challenging 20 km race in Goms. He crossed the line behind Norway's formidable duo: Johannes Klaebo, who claimed first, and Simen Krueger, who finished in second place. This achievement marked a remarkable weekend for the French skiers, as Lucas Chanavat had already secured a second-place finish in the preceding sprint event.

Throughout the mass start freestyle race, Lapierre demonstrated his competitiveness, consistently maintaining his position among the skiers. A decisive acceleration in the final four kilometers allowed him to stay with a leading pack of six. Although he could not quite match the swift pace set by Klaebo and Krueger, he managed to outpace Harald Amundsen in a thrilling final stretch, finishing just 12 seconds behind Klaebo.

Richard Jouve also had a strong showing, earning his first top-10 finish in a distance race by ending up in eighth place. Meanwhile, Hugo Lapalus finished in 13th, and fellow French competitors Mathis Desloges and Maurice Manificat secured the 25th and 31st spots, respectively.
