Jonna Sundling has received acclaim from all corners following her latest success, securing her third consecutive world championship gold in sprint, with an Olympic gold in between. Expert Torgny Mogren believes that Sundling is the best sprinter of all time.
However, live commentator Jonas Karlsson disagrees: "I want to remind everyone about someone named Marit Björgen, whose merits are much greater."
"Björgen broke through as a sprint skier. That’s how she competed against the best for a long time. She has won a total of 114 World Cup races, and over 40 of those in sprint," says Karlsson, who further develops his reasoning by discussing the total number of sprint medals at championships.
