For the first time in ten years, a Swedish male cross-country skier has reached the podium in the overall World Cup standings. In 2015, it was Calle Halfvarsson who finished third, and now, in 2025, Edvin Anger has secured second place in the total World Cup standings.
"This is a huge achievement for Swedish cross-country skiing on the men's side," says Radiosporten's live commentator Jonas Karlsson.
Karlsson believes that Edvin Anger has the potential to excel even further in the sport.
