Third Title for Johannes Klaebo at the World Championships in Trondheim in the 10 km Classic
Johannes Klaebo continued his incredible performance at the World Championships in Trondheim by securing his third gold medal in the men's 10 km classic race. This marks Klaebo's twelfth World Championship title, following his earlier victories in the sprint and skiathlon events this past weekend.
In this shortened 10 km format, Klaebo displayed his exceptional endurance and skill under falling snow, surpassing his Norwegian teammates Erik Valnes and Harald Amundsen, who finished second and third, respectively. Martin Nyenget, who was also in contention for a podium finish, fell before entering the stadium and lost precious seconds, ultimately placing fifth.
With this triumph, Klaebo eyes further potential victories, as he remains a favorite in both the team sprint and relay competitions that follow, along with the challenging 50 km event scheduled for Saturday. This outstanding performance reaffirms his status as a top athlete in cross-country skiing.
