Therese Johaug, one of Norway’s top long-distance skiers, announced in a press release that she will not participate in the World Cup event in Falun. Contrary to rumors of illness, Johaug clarified that her decision is part of a strategy to adjust her training schedule in preparation for the upcoming World Championships in Trondheim, scheduled to take place in two weeks.
By forgoing the Falun race, Johaug aims to optimize her form and build confidence on home snow before competing at the highest level. This move underscores the intense preparation that elite athletes undergo in the lead-up to major international championships.
