In the season opener of the cross-country skiing World Cup held in Ruka, Teresa Stadlober achieved a commendable eighth place finish in the women's 10-kilometer classical race. The clear winner was Sweden's Frida Karlsson, who finished 1:18.3 minutes ahead of Stadlober, while Therese Johaug, making a strong comeback after two years away from the sport, claimed second place, finishing 46.5 seconds behind Karlsson.

Stadlober reflected positively on her performance, noting that this was her 222nd World Cup start. She felt confident about her form, stating that she had excellent equipment during the race.
