Coupe du monde : Johannes Klaebo domine le sprint de Val di Fiemme

Johannes Klaebo confirmed his dominance in the sprint discipline by winning at Val di Fiemme, Italy, during the fifth stage of the 2025 Tour de Ski. Despite a back injury that sidelined French skier Richard Jouve prior to the quarterfinals, Klaebo showcased his skills, beating compatriot Even Northug by 0.32 seconds and Swedish competitor Marcus Grate by 0.64 seconds. This victory solidifies Klaebo's position at the top of the Tour de Ski rankings, with a 1:35 lead over Edvin Anger and a 2:11 lead over Erik Valnes. Looking ahead, Klaebo faces challenges in the upcoming skiathlon and the final climb at Alpe Cermis, where he historically performs less comfortably.

The French team, however, is facing significant challenges as many members are afflicted by a virus, greatly diminishing their chances in the competition. As Klaebo continues his well-rounded performance, he looks poised to secure a fourth title, leveraging his powerful skiing technique against the backdrop of the impending Olympic Games in 2026.
