In an exhilarating display of skill and speed, Norwegian cross-country skier Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo secured victory in the sprint event at Drammen, part of the prestigious World Cup series. This win comes only two days after his remarkable triumph in the 50 km race in Oslo. In Drammen, Klaebo showcased his dominance by finishing ahead of his fellow Norwegians Haavard Taugboel and Even Northug, with French skier Richard Jouve rounding out the finals in fifth place.
On the women's side, it was Norwegian Kristine Skistad who claimed top honors, overtaking notable competitors Linn Svahn from Sweden and American Rosie Brennan. Klaebo's victory in Drammen brings him even closer to the overall World Cup leader, Harald Oestberg Amundsen, who unfortunately was eliminated in the semifinals. In an unexpected turn of events, American skier Jessica Diggins also experienced an early exit in the quarterfinals, allowing Svahn to tighten her position in the overall standings.
