Johanna Matintalo Cancels Participation in Tour de Ski

Johanna Matintalo has officially withdrawn from the Tour de Ski. The Finnish skier has been dealing with injury issues since November, which escalated during the Tour. After the combined races on Saturday, Matintalo was unable to participate in the final competition scheduled for Sunday.
According to a statement from the Ski Association, Matintalo’s injury will be evaluated in Finland, and further actions will be taken based on the diagnostics that follow. In the combined event on Saturday, she finished in 26th place and was ranked 22nd overall in the Tour de Ski.
