Inkki Inola wins gold and Nico Bennert silver at the Universiade

Inkki Inola claimed the gold medal and Nico Bennert the silver medal in cross-country skiing at the Universiade in Torino.
Inola won the 10-kilometer freestyle event with her guide, Reetu Inkilä, making it an impressive start to the competition week. Inola expressed satisfaction, mentioning the challenge of high altitude and her determination to replicate her success in the forthcoming classic sprint event.
Bennert achieved a silver medal in the men's 10-kilometer freestyle, trailing Norway's Olaf Martin Aaseru Talmo by 6.8 seconds. Bennert noted that he was pleasantly surprised by his podium finish, attributing his success to excellent skis and the hard work of the support team. He has his sights set on the 20-kilometer traditional race as his main goal for the competitions ahead.
