Iivo Niskanen is making his return to the competition trails at the World Cup in Les Rousses, France. The 33-year-old announced his comeback in an Instagram post. The races in France are set to take place next week from January 17 to January 19.
Niskanen's recent condition has been uncertain, as he withdrew from the Tour de Ski due to illness and did not compete in the national championships in Imatra.
The World Cup weekend in Les Rousses will feature free technique races, classic sprints, and mass starts in traditional style competitions. The key event of the season, the World Championships in Trondheim, will be held at the end of February, giving Niskanen ample time to prepare for the championships.
