World Cup: Hugo Lapalus finishes fifth in the mass start at Les Rousses

French skier Hugo Lapalus crossed the finish line in fifth place in the mass start event at Les Rousses, finishing 12.4 seconds behind the winner, William Poromaa from Sweden. Lapalus was a strong competitor but could not keep up with the final sprint of the leading trio. His fellow French teammates, Richard Jouve and Mathis Desloges, finished in 11th and 13th places respectively.

In the women's category, Frida Karlsson made a remarkable return to the circuit after being absent since December 6 due to illness and injury, securing her first victory of the season. Karlsson outpaced her compatriot Ebba Andersson, who finished second, and Austria's Teresa Stadlober, who took third place. French skier Flora Dolci finished in 19th place, 4:52.3 behind the winner.

This event at Les Rousses was indeed a key moment for the French team, showcasing both individual and national strengths in Nordic skiing.
