"It hurts": Hugo Lapalus' immense disappointment after the 10 km classic at the World Championships
Hugo Lapalus appeared deeply affected as he commented on his performance, finishing 11th in the 10 km classic event at the World Championships in Trondheim, Norway.
He stated: "It's tough. Plus, I didn’t feel so bad; it was going well. The conditions were particular, but it was the same for everyone. I just couldn't adapt to the skiing style needed on this slightly tricky snow. It hurts, it's hard, but that's just how it is. I had a lot of expectations for this race and I didn't manage to meet them. Everyone did their part; I just couldn't manage to do mine. It's like that."
