The International Ski Federation (FIS) distributed a total of 672,000 Swiss francs in prize money during the World Championships in cross-country skiing. This corresponds to approximately 7.7 million Swedish kronor at the current exchange rate. The distribution is as follows:

Individual races: - Gold: 24,000 Swiss francs (around 275,000 SEK). - Silver: 15,000 (172,000 SEK). - Bronze: 9,000 (103,000 SEK). - 4th: 6,000 (69,000 SEK). - 5th: 3,600 (41,000 SEK). - 6th: 2,400 (27,500 SEK).
