Norwegian skier Harald Amundsen has made history by winning the overall World Cup crystal globe in cross-country skiing for the very first time at the age of 25. He clinched this prestigious title during the final race of the season, a 20 km mass start event held in Falun, Sweden. Showing remarkable skill, Amundsen solidified his position in the overall standings by finishing second in the bonus sprint, effectively securing enough points to ensure his victory.

In the race itself, Johannes Klaebo took the win, marking his 16th victory of the season. However, despite his stellar performance, he was unable to close the gap in the overall rankings, chiefly due to setbacks earlier in the season, including having to withdraw from the Tour de Ski due to illness. Klaebo’s strong late-season momentum with several consecutive wins ultimately fell short against Amundsen’s consistent performance throughout the season.

Other standout performances in Falun included Norwegian skiers Gjoeran Tefre and Martin Nyenget, who both reached the podium, while French skier Jules Lapierre finished in an impressive fourth place. Hugo Lapalus made a bold attempt by leading during the second loop but ultimately ended up in seventh overall.
