Harald Amundsen wins the 15km pursuit in Toblach, Hugo Lapalus just off the podium

Harald Amundsen, the previous season's overall World Cup champion, continued to assert his dominance by winning the 15km pursuit race on January 1, 2025, at Toblach, Italy. He completed the race in a time of 35'18", finishing just 2 seconds ahead of Sweden's Edvin Anger. Amundsen had already showcased his prowess by winning the 20km freestyle event just days earlier.

Johannes Klaebo, who won the sprint competition earlier in the week, secured third place in this race, finishing 5 seconds behind Amundsen.

French skier Hugo Lapalus came close to making the podium, finishing fourth, just 9 seconds off the winning time. This solid performance allowed him to climb into the top 5 of the general classification of the Tour de Ski.

This event marks a key competition in the broader context of the World Cup circuit, with many athletes vying for top positions as the season progresses.
