World Cup: Harald Amundsen Dominates the 20 km Free at Toblach

On Tuesday, during the first stage of the Tour de Ski in Toblach, Italy, Norwegian star Harald Amundsen, last season’s World Cup champion, delivered an impressive performance in the 20 km free, winning comfortably by over 20 seconds.

Following behind him were compatriot Simen Krueger, who finished second (+21.2 seconds), and British athlete Andrew Musgrave, who took third place (+28.4 seconds).

Amundsen's victory brings him closer to leader Johannes Klaebo, who was fifth in this race and now has a 46-second gap that Amundsen aims to close in the pursuit race starting soon.

The French team also showed strong results, placing two skiers in the top 10, with Hugo Lapalus finishing seventh (+50.5 seconds) and Mathis Desloges in eighth (+53.4 seconds). This marks a significant achievement for Lapalus, who recently earned a podium finish earlier in the season at Davos.
