Gold Team Split – Why Maja Dahlqvist Competes in the Sprint Relay

The gold medal team featuring Jonna Sundling and Emma Ribom has been split, leading to Maja Dahlqvist getting the opportunity to race alongside Sundling in the upcoming sprint relay. This strategic decision was made by national coach Anders Byström, who emphasized that Dahlqvist's sprinting strength would provide a significant advantage for the team in the final leg.

On the men's side, the team will feature Calle Halfvarsson and Edvin Anger. For Norway, the women's team will consist of Lotta Udnes Weng and Kristine Stavås Skistad, while the men's team will include Erik Valnes and Johannes Høsflot Klæbo.
