Friedrich Moch made waves during the penultimate stage of the Tour de Ski with a remarkable sixth-place finish in the Skiathlon. The race, held on January 4, 2025, featured 10 kilometers of classic technique followed by 10 kilometers of skating. Moch finished just 5.2 seconds behind the day's winner, Klaebo, earning praise from German national coach Peter Schlickenrieder, who stated, "He really did an excellent job, extracting the maximum out of the situation. It was very well done, and we can just praise him. This is the step we need."

Klaebo's win marked his fourth title during the Tour. The Norwegian extended his overall lead significantly, showcasing his standout skills on skis and unmatched tactical understanding. Moch maintained a strong presence throughout the race and aimed for a podium finish until the final sprint.
