Frida Karlsson Returns – Competing in World Cup at Les Rousses

After struggling with injuries, Frida Karlsson is now confirmed to participate in the World Cup weekend in Les Rousses. "Everything has gone really well for Frida over the Christmas period," says her coach Per Nilsson to Expressen.

Karlsson had a season start marred by injury problems, leading her to sit out the ongoing Tour de Ski, which has been disappointing for the Swedish side so far in the women's category.

However, positive news has emerged as the star is set to compete in the World Cup in France from January 17-19. "The plan is for Frida to compete in both distance races there," says her coach Per Nilsson.

The foot injury seems to be under control now. "It has been managed well. She has been doing rehabilitation every day."

As for future World Cup weekends, it remains uncertain, but it is confirmed that the 25-year-old will skip the Falun World Cup weekend in February. "The plan is to stay at high altitude until the World Championships," says Nilsson.
