The Swedish skier Frida Karlsson triumphed in the 20 km mass start classic event held in Oberhof, Germany, this Saturday. She claimed victory with a decisive lead over her closest competitors: Katharina Hennig from Germany and Kerttu Niskanen from Finland.

Less renowned than last season, Frida Karlsson’s performance was robust as she gradually increased her pace in the final kilometer, crossing the finish line with a time that was 2.3 seconds faster than Hennig and 3.8 seconds ahead of Niskanen.

In the absence of Delphine Claudel and with Flora Dolci withdrawing from the race, Juliette Ducordeau from France secured the best result by finishing 39th at 3 minutes and 57 seconds behind Karlsson, followed by Julie Pierrel in 42nd place and Mélissa Gal in 46th place.

This victory marks Karlsson's resurgence in competitive skiing, reminding fans why she is one of the top athletes in her discipline.
