Fossesholm Withdraws from Tour de Ski Just Before Start

Helene Marie Fossesholm has withdrawn from the Tour de Ski according to a press release from the International Ski Federation (FIS). This announcement came just before the sprint prologue began in Val di Fiemme on Friday, reducing the number of female competitors to 42.

In recent days, many athletes have opted to withdraw from the competition. Rosie Brennan also chose to pull out before the start on Friday, and Swedish athlete Moa Lundgren also announced her withdrawal from the tour that day.
