As the previous season wraps up, it’s time for service teams to prepare for the next one. This means negotiating an array of contracts, both short-term and long-term, especially with two major events on the horizon: the World Championship in Trondheim and the Olympic Games in Italy.
Jules Chappaz Joins Madshus
In early May, Chappaz took to Instagram to announce that he would be parting ways with Salomon. “After eight seasons spent with @salomonnordic, I’ve decided that it’s time for me to leave the blue ship,” he wrote.
The French athlete earned his first World Cup podium this past season as well as his inaugural World Championship medal at Planica last year. Chappaz has revealed that he will now be racing with Madshus for the upcoming seasons, a move that also includes new signees Melisa Gal (FRA) and Lorenzo Romano (ITA).
Edvin Anger Transfers to Rossignol
Replacing Madshus is the young Swedish talent Edvin Anger. With six World Cup podiums already under his belt, this past season, he established himself as the top U23 athlete in the World Cup series.
Next season, fans can look forward to seeing him compete with the French brand, Rossignol.
Even Northug Partners with Swix
Norwegian skier Even Northug, at 28, is setting new goals by signing with ski pole manufacturer Swix.
In addition, ATOMIC has announced it has welcomed a new recruit: Italian athlete Martina di Centa. Meanwhile, Team Fischer is excited to introduce Richard Jouve to their lineup, supporting the 29-year-old on his professional skiing journey.
