Emma Ribom Celebrates Her Boyfriend's Podium Finish: "Almost Shedding a Tear of Joy"

Emma Ribom clinched victory in the sprint event at Östersund, but her joy reached new heights when she celebrated her boyfriend, JC Schoonmaker, who finished third.

"I was almost shedding a little tear of joy," Ribom shared with SVT Sport.

It was a remarkable day not only for Ribom but also for Schoonmaker, marking his first podium finish. "I’m super happy. I can’t believe it happened. It feels incredible," he expressed, his excitement palpable as he praised Ribom's achievements.
"She is amazing! She had a fantastic day and an incredible year."

Looking ahead to the evening, Ribom is eager to celebrate their joint successes. "I’m not quite sure how we will celebrate yet, but I think we should really go all out!"

Johannes Hösflot Kläbo triumphed in the race, followed closely by Erik Valnes and Schoonmaker.
