Edvin Anger discusses his mistake: "Slarvfel"

Edvin Anger made a promising start in the Tour de Ski sprint held in Toblach, Italy, qualifying fourth and taking first in his quarterfinal. However, during the semifinal, he was overtaken in a downhill section, which led to his elimination.

"I get caught off guard, and I’m not prepared for it," Anger remarked to SVT Sport, reflecting on the race. In the semifinal, he initially maintained his position near the front before losing ground in a crucial corner.

"I have the line that I want at first. Then, I miscalculate the curve where I think I should go inside but don’t do it enough. Someone overtakes me, and I get stuck in the middle," he explained.

Ultimately, Anger finished fifth in the semifinal and noted that although he felt good physically, making it to the finals remains a challenge. He acknowledged that any errors on a tricky course can be decisive.

In the end, Johannes Høsflot Kläbo from Norway emerged as the winner of the event, followed by Lucas Chanavat from France and Janik Riebli from Switzerland. Other Swedish competitors, Emil Danielsson and Oskar Svensson, who also made it past the qualifiers, were eliminated in the quarterfinals.
