Cross-country skiing: Ebba Andersson's disqualification is appealed again
It has been a turbulent day for Ebba Andersson. The star athlete seemed poised for redemption after a controversial disqualification but fell just short.
"Unfortunately, three competitors were a bit better than me today," she remarked after finishing fourth in the 10-kilometer freestyle at Holmenkollen, missing the podium by 6.3 seconds.
A misstep during Saturday's race led to a yellow card, resulting in her disqualification. Sweden's initial appeal was denied, but the national team is proceeding with a second appeal.
Despite this setback, Ebba remained focused and determined, stating, "After a tough day, I had another race today to prepare for. I felt stable and robust, just like yesterday, but three competitors were slightly ahead of me."
