Ebba Andersson was visibly disappointed after her qualifying defeat in the Tour de Ski sprint. The 27-year-old finished 54th in the time trial held in Toblach, which meant she did not advance in the competition.

  • "I feel a bit discouraged," she told SVT Sport before leaving the interview. "I really tried to focus on what I needed to do, but I was too slow. I feel a bit discouraged. I need to recharge for tomorrow," Andersson shared.

All other Swedish women advanced, with Johanna Hagström finishing 2nd, Linn Svahn 4th, Moa Lundgren 14th, Märta Rosenberg 15th, Moa Ilar 19th, and Maja Dahlqvist 26th.

Therese Johaug competed in her first sprint event after 1,492 days and was eliminated directly, finishing in 40th place.

Three Swedish Men Advance

Three Swedish men advanced from the men's qualifying: Edvin Anger (4th), Emil Danielsson (27th), and Oskar Svensson (30th).

The others, Marcus Grate (36th), Gustaf Berglund (45th), Truls Gisselman (55th), William Poromaa (69th), Eric Rosjö (74th), and Jens Burman (88th) were eliminated in the qualifying round. The fastest among the men was Johannes Høsflot Klæbo.
