Ebba Andersson exhibited her exceptional skills in roller skiing by clinching victory in the pursuit race at Toppidrettsveka, held in Trondheim. Tackling a challenging 12-kilometer course, she crossed the finish line with an impressive time of 25:50.4, comfortably leading the pack by a significant 14.9 seconds over second-place finisher Kristin Austgulen Fosnaes. This win underscores Andersson's diligent preparation and skill refinement as she gears up for the upcoming winter skiing season.
The day before, in the mass start event, Andersson had to settle for eighth place, starting the pursuit 15 seconds behind Moa Ilar. Despite this setback, she showcased remarkable determination and speed, ultimately securing a decisive victory against a competitive field of Norwegian skiers.
Other notable finishes in the women's pursuit saw Linn Svahn take sixth place and Moa Ilar finish seventh. On the men's side, Jan Thomas Jenssen triumphed with a time of 23:02.1, edging out Swedish challenger Calle Halfvarsson by a razor-thin margin of just 0.2 seconds. The Swedish men's team also displayed their strength, with William Poromaa and Edvin Anger finishing fifth and sixth, respectively, contributing to a thrilling competition.
