Ebba Andersson victories at the World Championships in Trondheim

Ebba Andersson has achieved a remarkable victory in the women's 10 km classic event, held at the World Championships in Trondheim, Norway. This victory marks her second gold medal of the Championships and comes as she narrowly defeated fellow competitor Therese Johaug.

Andersson completed the race with a time of 30:19.8, showing her strength and stamina throughout the distance. Meanwhile, Johaug, who was leading after early segments of the race, finished with a time of +1:30 behind the champion.

This racing encounter follows a previous competition where Andersson also triumphed over Johaug during the skiathlon event held earlier in the Championship.

Frida Karlsson, also from Sweden, completed the podium by securing the bronze medal with a time of +12:10, contributing to a strong showing from the Swedish team, while the Norwegian women have yet to claim an individual gold at this year’s championships.

The conditions of the race were fresh, with the track recently groomed following significant snowfall earlier in the day. This added an extra challenge to the athletes as they competed on an improved skiing surface, which had just been prepared after the men’s 10 km classic.
